A digital safety and education business built around one belief: that every person deserves to navigate the digital world safely — at any age.
The Elder IT is a digital safety, awareness, and education business based in County of Brant, Ontario. We serve individuals, families, and communities across all ages and generations — from youth navigating social media to older adults protecting their finances.
The name is inspired by The Elder Scrolls — scrolls of knowledge — reimagined for the digital age. It carries wisdom, guidance, and authority across all demographics. It is not named after any one age group.
Unlike traditional IT companies that do things for their clients, we do things with them. Every session is a learning session. The goal is always that you walk away more capable than when you arrived.
"Digital safety is not a privilege. It is a right — for every generation."
Elder's Founding PrincipleKeeping people safe from digital threats through practical, actionable knowledge — not fear, not jargon, not dependency.
In practice: every engagement starts with a full audit of your real exposure — then we close the gaps together, in plain language.
Building genuine knowledge and confidence. We do things with our clients — not for them. Every session is a learning session.
In practice: you are at the keyboard during every session. If we changed a setting and you can’t explain why, we haven’t finished.
Giving every person the ability to navigate the digital world on their own terms — from a 12-year-old to a 75-year-old.
In practice: our goal is that you need us less over time — members graduate into confidence, not dependency.
We don't sell hardware. We don't fix broken computers. We don't provide legal or financial advice. We keep our focus narrow so it stays sharp.
In practice: if you need something outside our lane, we tell you exactly what to look for — and send you to someone honest.
Every engagement follows the same arc — because the goal is always the same: you, more capable than when we met.
A free 30-minute call. We listen first — your devices, your worries, your household or business — and map your digital world together.
We go through your footprint side by side: what's exposed, what's weak, what's fine. You see everything we see. No mystery, no fear tactics.
Hardening, controls, and habits — built with you at the keyboard, not watching from the couch. Every session leaves you knowing more.
The endpoint isn't dependency — it's confidence. Whether you stay on as a member or not, the knowledge stays in your house. That's the whole point.
From a 12-year-old on social media to a 75-year-old managing their bank account — digital threats don't discriminate by age.
Online gaming, social media, and messaging apps create real risks. We help young people recognize manipulation and protect their digital identity.
Parental controls, device security, and scam awareness — we help families set up protections that actually work for your household.
Phone scams, CRA fraud, AI voice cloning, and romance fraud target older Canadians at a disproportionate rate. Awareness is the best defence.
